Wireless Flood
Is there an alternative to the Linksys BEFSR41 DSL router?
And please bear with the newbie, is there a definition of
"hub" "router" "switch" as these terms relate to computer communication?
What I would like to do is split a DSL line for use by two computers, and I want a WIRED connection, wireless is NOT an option.
Also I've had a bad experience with the Cisco product and I would rather find an alternative, a quick web search shows me a market place flooded with one brand of product, not good capitalism!
any suggestions form the resident geeks around here?

I had one of those gadawful Linksys BEFSR41's and it inhaled meat!
I was trying to do some geeky port-forwarding for this program with a mules head as its logo and it was all tres hard as sh1t!
I went and bought a LINKSKEY LKR-604, plugged it up & it was good to go!
It's an awesome router.
I use it for broadband but it doesn't matter. I have 4 computers on a home network, all wired in. I have a Vista 32, a Mac G4, an XP Pro 32 & an XP Pro 64 and they all play nice together on this router. No muss, no fuss.
And can you handle $20.00? No lie!
