gun control, stupid, isnt it!?
so how are you liberal left wing nuts dealing with all of the school shootings in the so called "Gun Free Zones"? at Virginia Tech, did he realy care that there were signs? no! britian, ever since they began to heavily restrict firearms, has seen a rapid increase in violent crime rates. so does gun control realy work. the supposed "assault weapons" ban didnt even ban assault weapons, it banned hunting rifles and home defence weapons. this is because i believe that the liberal left wants to disarm america in order to expand government power. it is sad that we cant trust people enough that we wouldnt need defence weapons, but there will always be scum that want to take what you have (including your life) also, who do you support as president in the up comming election? your choices are: Obama and Clinton- the left wing nut Job that wants the oppression of the people and to bring about the redistribution of wealth, or McCain- slightly left of conservativism yet far right of liberal.
Foolish people who think your sport of hunting is safe because Obama supports sportsmen. It is really going to be hard to hunt when he wants to take firearms out of the home.

why is my bird acting strange lately?
i have a blue winged parrotlet (dwarf parrot) and ive had it for about a month and during that month, it was acting normal, it would let me hold him, and he wouldnt bite me, but ever since yesterday (6/6/09) and today, my bird has been acting very strange. Whenever i try to hold him, his feathers stick up and he'll try biting me, even when i barely stick a pinky through the cage, he'll go straight for the fingers, he even bit me twice yesterday and drew blood, so i left him alone for the whole day and night, and hes acting the same way today. Hes even been chirping really loud nonstop. Could something be wrong? what can i do?
btw, im from los angeles california which is a major earthquake zone, and ive heard that animals tend to act strange when earthquakes come, ive heard they usually bite their owner and act in a strange way, could this be a sign?
First, parrots only react to earthquakes minutes before it happens, and they screech in fear, it is not a days long thing. Second, how have you been acting with your bird? Have you dedicated a time to play with him? A bedtime? Basically, does your new friend have any routine at all? Parrots of any size need structure, a wake-up time, a bed time, and human interaction time. I would suggest reading some books on parrolette behavior. Contacting a avian vet would be a good idea also, as they can help guide you through the initial socialization process. One other thing, our amazon (tho much bigger than a parolette) gets rather surly when his wings need to be clipped. Clipping a birds wings is not permenant, does not hurt them, and it often helps with a bad attitude. ASK YOUR AVIAN VET!
