Warranty Binoculars
Fungus inside binoculars?
Hi, I have a problem with this kind of fungus growing on the inside lens of my pair of Helios 10x50 binoculars. I asked my physics teacher about it and he said to get some glass lens spray cleaner to clear the fungus away. He said I can risk taking them apart but I don't know how to take the binoculars apart to clean the lens. So, what do I do? Who can I contact? I tried looking up <
I checked the warranty so that's no use.
The fungus is on the inside objective lens.
I'm a beginner as you can probably tell but I've had these pair of binoculars for 2 years now.
If you have a go yourself, here are some more practical tips (based on many years repairing old clocks and watches as a hobby)
1. Make notes and/or draw diagrams of everything you do as you take them apart. Don't trust to your memory about "what goes where". Your "short term memory" is just that - only short term!
2. Don't get any small screws mixed up (or worse, lost altogether). Get something like a plastic tray for making ice cubes, and systematically put each set of screws in a separate compartment in the tray.
3. Only take one half of the binos apart at a time. If you get confused rebuilding them, you still have the other half as a guide for how everything fits together.

Need new Binoculars in the 30-40 dollar range
I went on a whitewater rafting trip w/ my so-called waterproof binoculars. It didn't work out that way but the warranty is expired, so I need a new pair. The other ones were 24 dollars, a bit cheap. I'm thinking 30-40 dollar range. They don't need to be tiny, but definitely not large. They don't need to be that great, but best for that ;price-range. I'm also wondering that if I was to go hunting what kind of money I'd need to spend.
They don't need to be waterproof.
