Walleye Pike Fish

WHAT ARE THE BEST FISHING LAKES IN MN WHY"?
I would like to know from the fishing men & woman where they think the best fishing is in minnesota and what fish.walleyes, pike, musky ect.thank you http://www.mnlakeplace.com
Depends on what type of fish you want to catch?
Walleye- Mille Lacs is hot for Walleye and Musky. However, it's a BIG lake and can be dangerous and "not fun" when weather comes in. Plus, Mille Lacs has ever changing laws on size restrictions, so, if you want a "walleye dinner" you have to fish perty hard to find a keeper. Lake Vermilion is fun for Walleye.
And if you want premium Walleye & Lake Trout try Gunflint Lake near the Border of Canada. (In fact, all border lakes have decent levels of Walleye & Northern).
Crappie- Red lake. Island Lake near Duluth.
I agree with Artie! The "Thumbs Down Monsters" have reared their ugly heads again. Artie don't pay attention! Recall the average age on YAnswer's, (12-18 yr old).
Artie, you just keep on answerin'! "F" the idiots! If it's any condolence I get them too (thumbs down), and I know a TON of fishing info as well.
For every 1 person you actually help, 25 are really "un-interested" and only asking for "entertainment purposes", 35 wanted a "5 word answer" and 50 want the totally "abridged", "quickest, easiest, NO-hassle" way to catch a limit.
I'm happy when I help just 1 person out of 100......
SO, you keep answerin'! (Thumbs UP bro!)
PS: An 11LB Bass in Minnesota? That sounds like a "tall tale" ! The state record is 8LB's. (wink) (smile)

Predatory Fish $58.94 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Predatory fish are fish that predate upon other fish or animals. Some predatory fish include perch, muskie (muskellunge), pike, walleye, salmon. Levels of large predatory fish in the global oceans are estimated to be about 10 of their preindustrial levels. Large predatory fish are most at risk of extinction; there was a disproportionate level of large predatory fish extinctions during the K/T extinction event 65 million years ago. Creation of marine reserves has been found to restore the population of large predatory fish as the Serranidae groupers and sea bass. Predatory fish switch between types of prey in response to variations in their abundance. Such changes in preference are disproportionate and are selected for as evolutionarily efficient. Predatory fish may become a pest if they are introduced into an ecosystem in which they become a new top predator. An example, which has caused such trouble in Maryland, is the snakehead fish. Ice Fishing in Quebec - Fishing for Walleye, Pike, and Sauger
I live on the Huron river in Michigan below the bellville dam where are the fish in winter ?
I know there are walleyes, smallmouth bass, muskie, and pike that have to feed in winter.Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look and how to fish them?
in a river, there should be a flat rock structural area where the current slows down, fish there. good luck.
