What's the % impossed on late of overdue payments for visa or master card?
I want to apply for a capital one visa card and I was wondering how much money I would be paying for overdue charges in this sense. Let us say I owe £100 on payments for purchases which have bee made with the card and I do not pay for it for, say, six months or a year. How much money do I have to add to the money I already owe?
No, you do not understand. It is not like I do not want to pay. The problem is though I always go overdraft, and this is really putting my off in this sense. Before applying for it I want to make sure I will be alright and that I'll have enough money in my bank account so as to pay for it: that's all about it.
They'll have a standard charge for late payment - £12 (for example). So for each time you fail to make a payment, they will charge £12. THis charge is obviously ontop of the interest being charged.
ie. 6 x £12 = £72 in charges + 6 months interest at 18%pa (£9). Therefore £100 borrowed over 6months with out making any payments would increase to £181 ..... if they haven't already come and pinched your TV/car as payment.
If you want to avoid any extra chages, set up a DD to pay the minimum 5% each month and then pay the rest of in a cheque each month) when you are happy you will have enough money in your bank to pay for it.
NB. If you don't pay it off in full each month, the amount payable will increase. So if you don't think you can afford a credit card ..... DON'T GET ONE!

Are Australian Visas Needed For Students Too
If you wish to stay for studies in Australia for more than a period of 4 months, you will have to apply for an Australian student visa. One fundamental requirement for this kind of visa is that you are first expected to have applied with an Australian college, university or any other educational institution and have been accepted.
Once you have been considered for admission in a particular college, you will be issued with a confirmation of enrollment (COE) document, which will thereby act as a proof of admission during the application for the student visa.
Some Australian institutions will only issue the COE after clearing all the admission requirements including the course fees in full amount. Others will also recommend you to apply and comply with the Overseas Student Health Policy; an insurance organ that covers foreign students against health, after which a receipt is offered to act as a prove that you have complied. All these requirements will require evidence before being granted student Australian visas.
Australian student visas are classified based on the principle course of study that the applicant has selected. An assessment is conducted, which include verification of the student's country of origin and the subject area of study to ascertain the kind of student visa he or she is valid. Some of the visa subclasses include that of English language intensive courses for oversees students (ELICOS), school exchange programs, vocational education and the related training sector, higher education sector, masters and doctorate sector, AusAID, defense sponsored sector and Non-award foundation studies sector.
Applicants of the Australian student visa are advised to adhere to the conditions of the visa as breach of these stipulations can lead to the nullification of the visa. While students who have graduated from Australian institutions can apply for jobs, they should only do so after applying for a permanent skilled visa.
This is granted after one qualified for some stipulated Australian standards and settlement of some additional fee for the visa processing. This new Australian visa has further restrictions, such as the number of hours that you are supposed to work and the duration of stay within the visa validity. Note that the students are not allowed to formally work with any company while undergoing studies.
Students are also supposed to remain under the education institution for 12 months after enrollment of the course, unless for circumstances those are exceptional. The education institution should have all relevant information concerning the student before the arrival of the students. These details may include student's residential address, hometown, country of origin, age, gender, year of birth, parents' details and so on.
In addition, for a student to possess a student visa Australia, he/she supposed to prove that there are enough funds to sustain for accommodation, transport fares, overseas health cover fee, and course tuition fee and for basic requirements. The student may also be tested on English fluency beside capability to manage their funds for tuition and general expenses during their stay under the student visa.
