What are some good and simple to install wireless video security system?
I'm thinking of getting Logitech WiLife digital video system.
I just want a simple indoor system to watch over my elderly parent just in case.
Remotely from work if possible.
May add an outdoor system later but I live in a fairly safe neighborhood.
check at radio shack they have some good ones

Signature System for Video Identification. $115.71 Video signature techniques based on tomography images address the problem of video identification. This method relies on temporal segmentation and sampling strategies to build and determine the unique elements that will form the signature. In this thesis an extension for these methods is presented; first a new feature extraction method, derived from the previously proposed sampling pattern, is implemented and tested, resulting in a highly distinctive set of signature elements, second a robust temporal video segmentation system is used to replace the original method applied to determine shot changes more accurately. Video Analytics - A Technology Used To Analyze Videos
Video analytics is the practice of using computers to automatically identify things or areas of interest without having an operator to view the surveillance equipment. The most common areas of usage of Video Analytics are License plate recognition, people detection, and border and security violations. Video Analytics technology has a vast potential in the area of safety and security.
The video analytics software uses computer processors running within a computer or on a fixed platform in the computer using video cameras and other specialized image recording and capturing equipment. The software is integrated with Intelligent Video Systems. This technology can be used to assess the video contents and extract the relevant parts of the recording. Video analytics technology is used in LineUp, which is a facial recognition system. Lineup has been developed by Vigilant Video and is the ultimate tool in crime investigations. Lineup is compatible with existing CCTV systems. It uses artificial intelligence as a tool in video analytics security.
LineUp stores events in a chronological and easy to access format that eliminates the need to search through hours of video surveillance tape. Parameters can be set up in CamSmartz, which makes it more efficient and reliable than other existing products.
