Vertical Neon What's the scariest thing that ever happened to you?
I have two. One was when I was 8 years old. We were at the top of Volcan Irazu in Costa Rica and my dad made my brothers and I crawl out on this ledge that was only two feet wide. When I looked down it was either a near vertical slope to a crater full of ugly neon green liquid on the right or a near vertical slope with giant sharp rocks and boulders on the left. I was frozen there imagining on which side I would plummit to my death. My dad finally had to crawl out and get me.
The other was when I was about 9. I was in Panajachel Guatemala at Lake Atitlan and my mother told me to put on the goggles and swim out and look down. So I did. When I looked down, all I saw was the bottom go from shallow to a slope so steep and deep you couldn't see the bottom anymore. I WIGGED out and swam back so fast that the water was only a few inches deep when I stopped. They say that no one has ever found the bottom of that lake. I don't think I'll ever forgive my mom for that one! LOL.

What are the disadvantages of having 42 tropical fish in a vertical 10 gallon tank?
Right now, I have 31 fishes in my tank, and I was hoping to buy 3 more neon tetras, 3 guppies (male and two female), and 5 cardinals. I might not get 5 cardinals, but the total comes to 37 fishes in my vertical 10 gallon tank? Is it okay if I had 37 fishes or 42 fishes? Tell me some negatives, and some positives if there is.

I know this is bad, but my uncle said it's fine. He has a bio cube (29 gallon) and has 56 fishes. He said he only lost 10 fish. My cousin raising a 30 gallon tank, has a total 59 fishes. He lost 15 fish. I have a 10 gallon tank with 31 fishes, and only lost three. The fin rot issue was not my question, it was my cousin.
1 inch per gallon? That is nothing but a simple guideline. I gravel vac 25% every week. I have 5 live plants. I have cories that clean uneatten food and ottos to eat unwanted algae. I have tested the water and found no ammonia.
you are way overstocked you will have to filter highly...change the water atleast 20percent every week, i would get some live plants and feed them just enough food what ever they dont eat remove after about 5 minutes or the amonia levels will get really high and ur fish will get stressed out and my die
