Which company provides the cheapest television service? I am currently extremely displeased with the service I am receiving from Comcast. If you are aware of which major company provides the cheapest television service please enlighten me. Direct TV, Dish Network, FIOS, etc, which is the cheapest per channel?
I do NOT care about the promotional price, I want the actual monthly price, and I'm talking about the per-channel price. Who provides the cheapest service for the basic channels, the premium channels, and all of the channels?

The greatest advantage satellite TV enjoys is the rather massive number of channels it offers. But some local channels might not be free in your locality which means subscribers from that area have to pay for such programming. Therefore you must endeavor to check this before making your purchase.
However, my investigation revealed that the list of available local channels is very extensive so it shouldn't be much problem. With this extensive list you can practically get access to just about any channel you want.
Concerning the offer of free equipments, I gathered that the operators regard these as a basic requirement, but additional ones like a digital video recorder (DVR) attract fees that range from $100 to $700 tax and freight costs inclusive. The only consolation here is that you get to keep the equipment.
In stark contrast, cable TV subscribers who want a DVR pay additional monthly fees for it and are not allowed to keep the equipment if they cancel the service. So on this score satellite TV service is considerable cheaper in the long run.
However, it is not all smooth rides for satellite TV as there are some few bumps on the road.
One of such is the fact that any intending subscriber must be willing to make a flat one year commitment to the operator of their choice.
