Dealing with Betrayal: When the signs are not visable
"Ok Im trying to deal with a recent loss of a good friend/boyfriend so I thought. It started off we met three years ago and have been together ever since. We have had our good and bad days but we were close. He helped me get through some pretty tough times in my life and I have been there for him helping him with his business running the store and other business advice when he was trying to start a school. He seemed like a decent man someone I can get to know. And we became very close friends. We talked about everything to each other.
He been with me whenever I needed him to be, family outings, parties, movies, out of town, etc. We were a couple. I felt open and honest with him, I bought my first house and I gave him a key. My son got close to him looked up to him. We had talked about marriage joked on where we would get married at. I wanted to eloped to Jamica, h wanted a traditional church style wedding. He had his own place and I had my own place. He was always at my house. He had a car but when he had trouble with it I would let him use my truck or I will pick him up at his place or drop him off. He would spend more place at my house so he had most of his things there (shoes, clothes, jewelry, etc.) I met his family, had dinner with his family, partied with his family, met his kids. He met mines family as well.
We would argue and wouldnt talk for days at a time but he would always come back or call like nothing changed. Close to our three years he started to be distant with me. We always had date night on the weekend, that stopped. Then he wouldnt return my calls when I would ask him if he would come by. Just the point of even asking him to come by would seem so weird because he would always be by nightly. I didnt pay it any mind because I thought he would be out with his friends or cousins like he told me he was. . I would hear from him durin the day and not at night. The past few months I have been having a feeling that something wasnt right. I have asked him if he was seeing any body else he said no. I asked him if he wanted to break up or have some time alone he said no. He told me he loved me. Christmas he wasnt with me he said he was with his kids. New Years he was in Atlanta with his son. Valentines day he wasnt with me. He would start arguements so I wouldnt call him or he wouldnt call me. I got stressed got migraines. Then he came by my house with this car and said it was a rental and he was going to Mississippi to bury his grandmother. He didnt even tell me she had died. He said I wasnt talking to him so he didnt mention it to me. When he came back we tried to patch things up. I called him to see if he was going out with me and never answered the phone that night. The next morning I went to his house and called him and bammed on the door to his duplex. He came down after 10 minutes and let me in. I went upstairs to ask him why he wasnt answering my calls then thats when I seen her. 25 year old young woman with a mental case. I didnt know it at the time. She came out the back room and said he was never gonna let me in the house. She said they had been together for 5 years. She said he told her he was through with me. She said he told her I was just a friend someone he could talk to. I spazzed out 5 years!??! I asked for my key back and ran downstairs we all get outside and she continues talking about she been living there since November and here it is April. He never said anything to me. She was crying in his face telling him she loved him how could he do this to her. She said she was pregnant with his child and she bought his car for him that he been getting tickets on by my house. She knew all about me have followed us to the movies, out to eat even knew where I stayed. She said she even seen him and me leave form my house when she drove by. I left I heard enough. He called the next day I finally called him back and asked him how he could do this to me after all we have been trhoguh why not be honest with me and tell me he didnt want me instead of lying?
He claimed she got kicked out of her mom's house and needed a place to stay and he didnt want to hurt me by telling me that she was there. I told him if he want to makes this work with me he has to move her out of his house. We went by his house to tell her she has to go. We was all outside when he told her in front of me that he doesnt have peace with me unless she leaves. She got upset and said shes getting a house built and it wont start until July. Then she told me she can still screw him anytime she want to whether shes there at his house or not. The she attacked me pulled my hair out he got her off of me and we left went to my house. The next morning, she comes by my house and causes a scene being billgerent trying to get in my house to talk to him tellin me she aint going no where and nobody is making her leave. I called the police who came after she left they ran a check and found out she has a mental alert and told me to put a restraining order on her because I was a problem for her. She was told she if she comes by my house she will get arrested and committed in mental complex. I didnt press charges thinking that it will be over once she leaves. The rest of the month I kept asking him if shes leaving he kept saying yes we gave her until the end of April. I asked him again on April 26th, he said she told him she got an apartment. On April 27th I called him he had been spending the night at my house. I talked to him and he told me that he had some news that might not like. He said that she didnt have the money to move and he cant kick her out with her kids to a shelter. Due to some pass bull crap she keep bringin up, he cant make her move. I thanked him for telling me and told him to drop my key off to my house. It hurted like hell because I felt like I was the other woman not her. I felt like they had been plotting against me and I was the sucker. I truly and honesty trueted him he had been with her all throughout our relationship.
And to know shes mentally unstable and will light off like a fireball on anybody worries me. I felt betrayed I feel like he never loved me. I aske dhim if he loved her of course he said no. I dont know how anybody can look you in the face and lie to you like you're nothing. I didnt everything for him. I worked my butt off to get my degrees and a good job and a good home for me and my son and have included him on everything I did. I always made him feel wanted, cooked cleaned, did everything he asked of me. They was having discussions behind my back she said he asked her to move in with him he said she moved in on her own. I feel like this is a step back for me. How can someone hurt you like this without any remorse? All of the embarrassment and lies, and dishonesty and I ended up looking like a fool. I had to take some time off from wok due to the migraines and stress and depression to clear my head. This really hve screwed me up into therapy. The hardest thing for him to tel me he cat let her move out I feel like he knew this when all of the mess went down he should have told me then but he led me along came by my house trying to talk to me telling me he needs me by his side just to make a decision like that? I mean if thats who you want to be with thats fine, but how come you couldnt be honest with me and let me go? move on without me and be with her? he cause a lot of pain for me and its gonna take more time than I thought it hurts now just by typing this."
