Suggestion Gold Tie

Struggling with making a bow out of wire ribbon?
I am making gift baskets for the holidays and I'm in the final stages of the process. The baskets that I am using have side swing handles which has made it a bit more difficult to shrink wrap.
I am also using some gold wire ribbon that is fairly wide to make bows for the basket handles. After watching countless tutorials my bows STILL keep turning out like a kid trying to tie their shoelace.
What am I doing wrong? Have ANY suggestions? Please help!!!
take the end of your ribbon and wrap it over your index finger, this should make a loop or circle. now holding the ribbon between your thumb and index finger (still wrapped)
twist the ribbon and make a loop. You will continue this pattern until you have the number of loops that you want. You will then need to slip your wire through the very first loop that you made and making sure all of the other loops are also included, twist to hold. finish
If this does not work for you, you can make small-large loops (the size will depend on the size of bow you would like to have) like and accordion tie the ribbon in the middle and fluff out.

Suggestion and Auto Suggestion $49.47 1927. This work contains a psychological and pedagogical study based upon the investigations made by the New Nancy School. Since the year 1910 there had been in progress at Nancy a psychological and medicopedagogical movement which we are entitled to regard as one of the notable scientific happenings of the present epoch. The terms autosuggestion, the education of the will, the force of thought, selfcontrol, have long been current. But with the rise of the New Nancy School, we have for the first time the elements of a really methodical synthesis of the phenomena and the disciplines which these terms connote. Contents: spontaneous suggestion; reflective suggestion; induced suggestion. Suggestion and AutoSuggestion $45.49 A philosophical study by W.W. Atkinson, Suggestion and AutoSuggestion is written, in his usual style, like an essay on suggestion. In other words, he discusses the definition of suggestion, the different forms it takes (such as authority, habit, imitation, character, and so on), the influence of suggestion, and how suggestion can be healthy and therapeutic, plus build character. As always, Atkinson is descriptive and holds the readers attention with anecdotes and examples. American writer WILLIAM WALKER ATKINSON (18621932) was editor of the popular magazine New Thought from 1901 to 1905, and editor of the journal Advanced Thought from 1916 to 1919. He authored dozens of New Thought books under numerous pseudonyms, including Yogi, some of which are likely still unknown today. Author: Atkinson, William Walker Binding Type: Hardcover Number of Pages: 220 Publication Date: 2010/07/01 Language: English Dimensions: 5.51 x 8.50 x 0.62 inches |

What Is The Purpose Of Silk Ties And Cufflinks
You can pledge your allegiance to military regiments, you can announce your association to clubs, you can advertise your sporting fraternity, you can show an aggressive lack of concern for what other people think, and you can decorate your neck with a small piece of silk known as a tie, or cravat, or jabot (bow tie)
The Peacock
For men a tie is plumage, like a peacocks feathers, a way to express your individuality. And have a bit of fun coordinating with your suit, cufflinks and pocket square. Why does a peacock fan his feathers? In the same way, a tie is worn as decoration and primarily to attract the attention of women, if women pass positive comment on your choice of decoration, you’ve made the right choice. This is a good way to win a few babes.
Your choices
So when choosing consider the colours that appeal to women, and, don’t be afraid to move beyond conventions. Most importantly pay no attention to what your male office colleagues or friends will say, peer group influences are generally negative, they will strip away your individuality, undermine your own confidence and put you under their control. There is nothing wrong with men wearing pink, or vivid floral patterns, even with in conservative style frameworks there is room to indulge, not all stripes and polka dots are alike.
Add Colour
You can add a little more colour by introducing a lapel badge, and if you’re really conscious about forming a collection, then harmonize. A lapel badge, cufflinks, tie and pocket square thoughtfully coordinated are sure to appeal to women. Speaking from experience, on many occasions complete strangers have made a point of complimenting me on my choice of adornment. There is one particular collection that I wear that attracts positive attention from the opposite gender on every occasion, a combination of aqua, orange and blue. These colours are a real winner and I just love it when women pay close attention, it gets them in nice and close, so their feminine presence is warmly felt.
A little advice
Your tie should sit just above the belt buckle, with the tip of the blade just slightly above. As the belt performs three functions, one, to hold up your trousers, two to create proportion, and, three decoration, it is not wise to cover your nice buckle with and besides it will be out of proportion and immediately noticeable.
Even a belt buckle can make a difference. It completes the upper body in proportion and performs all the necessary functions, don’t hide it.
A Little More Advice
Try to pay more attention to grooming, finger nails always clean and trimmed, shoes polished every day, neat and tidy hair, well ironed shirt, people will notice and you are judged accordingly.
A Famous Quotation About The Bow Tie
"To its devotees the bow tie suggests iconoclasm of an Old World sort, a fusty adherence to a contrarian point of view. The bow tie hints at intellectualism, real or feigned, and sometimes suggests technical acumen, perhaps because it is so hard to tie. Bow ties are worn by magicians, country doctors, lawyers and professors and by people hoping to look like the above. But perhaps most of all, wearing a bow tie is a way of broadcasting an aggressive lack of concern for what other people think." ”
—Warren St John, The New York Times June 26 2005
Conclusion
Silk ties are worn primarily as decoration, so a perfect knot and correct length all go toward concluding the overall look. What is the best knot? “The Full Windsor”, why? There is something about it that women find very sensual, don’t believe me? Try it and ask the question. This aside, it holds all day long and framed by a well constructed collar looks super smart. Finally, frame it with a lapel badge and pocket square, and, to complete the arm and leg extensions, a pair of cufflinks and well polished shoes.
