Subs Concession Convert 220 sub panel to 110. Small concession trailer with 3 20amp breakers, currently hooked up to 30 amp220?
i need to be able to switch this to a 30 amp 110 outlet. the panel has 3 wires plus the ground. Can i put a jumper between the phases. or do i have to replace the panel. I would prefer if i didn't have to replace the panel. I just need this to be as fast and simple switch incase i have to switch back to 220.
there are no 220 outlets where i will be at i just need to be able to run the three 20 amp circuits on 110 but i have the 220 sub panel
I believe you don't understand what you have. Yes your panel is 220 volt but if the breakers are single handles not double they are 110 volt circuits. Each single handle is 110 volts. You get 220 volts by using every other space so a double breaker is the 220 volt stuff if you had it. Because they cover 2 spaces. Look at where the cord is coming from and see if it is hooked up on a double breaker as well. If it is it is a dead give away that it is this way. It very very likely is already there especially if the lights are on and such. They would be 110 same as 120 volts. If in doubt you could read it with a meter but I don't believe you will need to. Easy check in 2 ways . If there are regular outlets its not 220 they would have the blades sideways and such. Another way plug in a regular cheap corded lamp to see if it works. If it were 220 the bulb will flash like a flashbulb. A simple way to test it for a novice. As far as the 30 amp feed that is fine leave it alone. That protects the size of wire coming to the trailer. If you had a huge fryer or such you would need more power thus more amperage equals bigger wire.

Home Mortgage Modification: Do You Deserve to Join the Program
[Below is an excerpt from a live loan modification teleconference]
Mike: Well, you know, the truth is, Perry, in the last couple of months, and certainly since March 4, it seems like the lenders have gotten less and less open to negotiating. We've been less and less successful getting additional concessions. So that has always been our mantra, never accept that first offer, negotiate for better. But our routine has always been to get that offer of $800 and immediately submit a qualified written request asking for two things.
So fax them immediately. Thank them profusely for the $800 offer and tell them that that might just be able to help you save your home but you're still unable to commit to that. You could commit to $600. Is there any program that you could qualify for that could get you to $600 because you really know what you're talking about and $600 is the magic number. In the same qualified written request, ask them to itemize all fees and all costs that are associated with your loan. That'll kill two birds with one stone.
Ryan: You know, I'm realizing form the way this is worded he says is the lowest his lender can go. I don't know. Maybe Perry doesn't actually have a loan modification yet. And in which case you got to get the $800 loan modification first. Right, cause that sounds like something they might say over the phone. No, we can only go with $800, do you want to go further? Right?
Mike: I doubt it. Perry, email us further information but just go back to them in a written request. This definitely has to be written so fax it right away and remember there's a deadline on their offer. Don't go beyond that or you'll be starting over again.
Ryan: Okay, Doug asks can he ask for a loan mod on investment property or is it better to say that you live there? How do you do it?
Mike: Most of the lenders don't ask you to lie. Most of them just take your application and honestly even when I work with lenders that say specifically that this loan doesn't qualify because it's investment property, they'll still take my application and process it normally and I get loan modifications. It just baffles me.
Ryan: But are they not as good? I mean, if all things being equal –
