Station Oil Neon
1998 Dodge Neon Manual Transmission/Electrical Problems!!!?
I have a 1998 Dodge Neon Manual Trans. It has a 2 way limited slip in the tranny. It's been leaking, so i replaced the differential seals on the outside of the tranny, bought new drive axles, bought new differential bearings, and installed of the parts. I even split the trans, to do the differential bearings, which allowed me to re-seal the 2 halfs together. I used black rtv. The car is still leaking, can anyone help?!
I also have another issue with the same car.
The car won't turn over, which i think is the altenator.
also the car overheats REAL FAST!
I was just sitting at the gas station, with the car running waiting for my brother. The aftermarket oil pressure gauge went all the way up, the aftermarket battery volt gauge went all the way up, and the stock temperature gauge went all the way to HOT.
If anyone can help me i would sure appreciate it!
I don't know about the leak , there could be several things, not clean before assembly , not tightened up properly ,or it could be leaking through the threads of a bolt I don't know. I wasn't there.
some times the bolt holes are drilled through the housing , if this the case it could be leaking past the bolts. Need to put some silicon on the bolt threads before assembly.
as for the electric , the common ground wire coming from the from the sending units or Instruments you describe sounds like it is grounding out somewhere ( somthing with the grounds )
