How do players like Bartolo Colon stay overweight year after year,knowing their body is their livelihood?
When he was with the White Sox,he looked like a keg of Budweiser.What do these guys do,eat their nutritionists also?

The weight of the pitcher is not as important as it would be for a position player. What does matter is their "foundation", or their core strength. The power pitcher drives off the back leg harder than others. Leg strength is very important. Colon can have very strong legs without losing his girth.
Thirty years ago there was another pitcher like him; Mickey Lolich. He was considered "fat" when he played, but he was very successful for a very long time. Strong legs and strong shoulders do not require a tiny waist.
The game has obviously changed in the past 100 years. Cy Young retired in 1911 when his arm was still fine. But he was too fat to get off the mound to field the bunts that were so common then.
