Snap Connectors
Help with my Canon powershot pro1 camera?
I have a canon powershot pro1 digital camera. I was wondering if there are any filters that will work with this (UV, Polarizing, etc.)? Or, is there anyway I can get a connector to attach new lenses to this? I know its a point and shoot, but maybe something that snaps on? Thanks so much!
I had one of those cameras years ago, it was very nice!
Unless my memory deceives me, we had to buy an adapter for it, then we were able to attach filters.
Polarizing filters make such a big difference, it really is worth it.
Don't bother with "lenses" - they are not very good quality. If you're not very picky, you might be ok with them, but if you have a discerning eye, you'll be disappointed.

Optical Connector and devices
An optical fiber connector enables quicker connection and disconnection by terminating the end of an optical fiber and these types of connectors can pass light easily for that they are mechanically coupled. Many types of optical fiber connectors are available. Dimensions and methods of mechanical coupling make main difference.
Optical connectors are similar to their electrical counterparts in function. They must, however, be high precision devices. Connectors must center the fiber so that its light gathering core lies directly over and in line with a light source or another fiber to a tolerance of a few ten thousandths of an inch.
