I have a 1985 toyota supra?
I recently installed the starter this summer myself and shortly after this the car would stall out at stop signs. It got worse to which i was actually driving at steady speed and it would completely stall.. So, friday night my car died completely(tried jumping it, didn't work) got it towed to the garage and it was the alternator. Drove it home today and it still stalls out.. any ideas on what it could be i was hoping the alternator would have sealed the deal of it stalling.. it has had a tune up recently as well.

How much manifold vacuum is the engine pulling? under 19 indicates a tired engine, provided the timing is set properly. Are there any discernable vacuum leaks? If you look down the venturi do you see drippage of fuel? At idle, dripping can cause load up and stalling. Take a spray bottle of water and mist the ignition wires and distributor while the engine is at idle, does the engine shake as a result? If so your wires and cap are seeking the easiest path to ground and need to be replaced. Without more info, it's hard to go any further. Good Luck
