How Does One Get A Handicapped Parking Tag/Sign?
My dad is officially disabled. What does he have to do, to get a Handicapped Parking Tag/Sign? Thanks.
If by Tag you mean the actual slip you put in your vehicle, I believe first you need to go to the doctor to get written consent that one is needed. Then I think that you need to go the Department of Motor Vehicles in your area. I think the same applies if you mean license plate. It might depend on your state though. Perhaps check at your municipal building or police department as well, since the Police would be the ones enforcing the parking laws.
If by sign, you mean a literal handicapped parking like street sign, I remember we needed to do the same thing when my grandfather became disabled. We needed to find a sign for his apartment complex...the super intended wasn't very sympathetic..but at least he put it up for us. I put a link to the site we found ours on in the sources section. If this is not what you meant, then I'm sorry for providing information that wasn't that useful.
