Shooting Trapshooting
was this the right choice? anyone answer !?
i played volleyball for years and loved it but now i hate playing it. i cant stand people getting angry for losing when they losed the game for us or just dont care and sit there and let the ball drop in front of them.
so i recently went back to a sport most of the guys in my family play. its trapshooting and i luv it! its amazing and everyone there is funny and nice! but i gave up volleyball for shooting. so im not doing volleyball in high school. no more sports except for shooting. and only my closes friends know about it.
but my one friend told me he doesnt understand why i quit a sport i was great at for shooting. he said it was cool a few months ago and now it intimidating he says and that i threw my future away pretty much. cause there's no scholarship involved with shooting.
im so confused and wanna know if i made the right choice. i love shooting but i hate thinking it ruined my future:( help
The fact that is was your own choice and that you love it... makes it right.
The reasons and others opinions shouldn't matter, your friend is entitled to his opinions and his own choices in life, what he is not entitled to is to try change yours or make you feel badly about those choices, that's what happens to make you, "YOU".
Scholarship or not, if you want college/whatever, you will get there one way or another, but one shouldn't be giving up their youthful yrs of everything and placing all bets on one number. Who's to say what or where skeet/trap shooting will take you, who knows what kind of connections it can bring, as long as your into it, enjoy it without feeling guilty.
You will get where your suppose to be, if it were meant to be, but women in particular need to remember to take time out for themselves because later in life, we tend to give every second to family and careers leaving little if nothing for ourselves, so it's probably a good thing to start the habit now.
