Shave Haircut
Im 16 would a number 1 shave haircut suit me?
My faceshape is like a shield, tiny bit wider at forehead. My jaw is pretty square and pointed.
Anyone similiar to me and got a number 1
Dont say grow it long. My hair is really poofy and to suffers badly from lack of moisture so im nt have sum long, dry hair.
It sounds like you have an oval face with a bit of squareness in the jaw. I think you must mean your chin is oval/pointed. There is no way of knowing from your description if a #1 butch cut will suit. It depends on the relationship between the head shape, frontal hairline, face and neck shape and facial features. Very few guys fully suit a butch, so in all likelihood it won't be the best choice in a haircut.

On the other hand, a good barber can design a regular taper cut or one of the short pomp cuts-crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut- to fully suit most guy's head shape, face and neck shape, frontal hairline and facial features and poofy hair works well with all these styles. If you'd like to wear your hair longer on top except for the dryness, you might try a regular taper cut which only leaves the hair longer on top, usually around 2.5"-3", max of about 4". A mild shampoo such as therappe and a high quality moisturizing conditioner like humectress should keep the hair in great condition till it is cut off, if the hair is only towel/air dried, which is possible with a taper cut. Three inches of hair on top is only going to be on the head for six months. I switch it up between all the styles at the following links, because I like change. It's easy when going to a shorter style, but when growing out to a longer style, the following styles are about a three week interval haircut apart: short crew cut, medium crew cut, short ivy league, medium ivy league, long ivy league, short regular taper cut, regular taper cut. They all fully suit. With frequent haircuts, a short style can look great when growing out.

Some barbers describe an ivy league as a crew cut just long enough to be parted and combed to the side if so desired. An ivy league can also be worn with the hair brushed up off the forehead to form the short pomp front or with the short bangs brushed down on the forehead like a forward brush cut.

Grooming any of the short pomp styles- crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut- is basically the same and takes about a minute or two.
1) Towel dry hair.
2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.
3)Transfer wax to palms.
4) Smooth palms over hair.
5)Brush hair off forehead to form short pomp front.
