Western North Carolina’s mountains boast some of the finest locations in which to live. NC mountain homes utilize to the utmost this excellent region, providing a quality of life that’s difficult to match.

Balsam Mountain Preserve community is positioned on the boundaries of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, close to Waynesville and Sylva. It has an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer, tennis, hiking and biking trails, horse-riding, fly fishing, pool, sauna and steam room, gym, drawing room, library, watering hole and café. A sanctuary for nature, pastoral cottages on 2 camping grounds, a recycling center, common garden, a pavilion and hot showers, talks and tutorials (a lot of them concentrate on the character of the locality), and an artist in residence program. This is a reasonably priced community to resettle in or to retire to.

Preserve at Little Pine is approximately twelve miles outside of Marshall, and 30 miles from Asheville. The Little Pine community has a size of one thousand eight hundred acres with 140 residences planned and eighty percent a preservation run by the Smoky Mountain National Land Trust. Inhabitants can benefit from kayaking, canoeing, twenty miles of bicycle and nature trails, fishing, white water rafting and groomed campsites. The philosophy of the Preserve is to protect the land and present a beautiful setting for our descendants.

One of the finest locations for reasonably priced realty in North Carolina Mountain Living is the Cold Mountain community. Just around 5 miles from Brevard, Straus Park squeezes a lot into its 300 acres.
