Security Warning
Did anybody else get a security warning before running avast?
I am looking to get rid of avg and downloading avast but I received a security warning before i was able to run it. Should i still download it or no? Am i making a wise choice in doing this? Help please.
This is the exact warning:
"While files from the internet can be useful, this file can potentially harm your computer. Only run software from publishers you trust."
Also, should I start using Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.
Thats a normal warning and nothing to worry about
as long as you downloaded from Avast or download.com
or something similar that you feel is trusted.
Yes your making a wise choice as its far better than AVG.
I would suggest you get to know Avast and how it works
instead of getting to know 2 new programs at once.
In a week or so by all means try FF but remember you
cannot uninstall IE....as its needed for the safe running of
your computer....so just try FF and use just that if you like it.
Lots of users say its safer....but IE should not give you many
problems if you always do your windows updates on time.
