Selling video games at garage sale?
Has anybody ever sold video games (PS2, PS1, Xbox 360, etc.) at a yard sale or garage sell with success?
I've tried posting on craigslist but nobody is ever interested in the videogames.
If I do sell games at a yard sale how do I do it effectively so that 1) nobody steals the games out of the cases and 2) people will be interested in buying the games? Also should I put up neon posters around town saying "yard sale"?
Please don't tell me to post them on Ebay or trade them in at local game store.
I just want tips on how to sell games at a yardsale.
Well, make sure you sit with them ALL day. Keep them on one table or a box, and if people want them, tell them you'll hold them until they are ready to leave so the don't "wander" away with them.
Don't expect to get very much for them, People going to yard sales are probably not going to want to pay more than 4 or 5 dollars for them. I love yard sales but I never wanna spend money! lol
OH! IF you have a little TV or something you can bring outside set it up with your game table and put the games on. People will be likely to pay more if they can see that the games work!
You should put up signs if you need to but most people on a saturday or sunday morning will stop at anyone who has stuff in their front yard. I know you said don't mention Craigslist, but you can list that you're having a yardsale and what day there!
