Worried about some spotting ?
I am just 6 weeks pregnant. I have my first doctor's appointment later this week. Last night after goign to the washroom I noticed a light color on the toilet paper....there was no blood on my underwear, no blood in my urine, just when I wiped there was a little bit of colour (very watery - not red, more like a light brown...and very little of it). It has happened a few more times - not everytime I go to the washroom, but once in a while and never has it gotten any darker or redder. I haven't had any cramps or pains. Just feeling blah, nauseous, no energy, tired (which I have been feeling for the past 2 weeks). Is this something I should be really worried about right now? I have my appointment this week, but should I be going to the emergency room? Hoping someone can answer. This is my first pregnancy and I am worried sick. Thanks.
If there is no actual blood like a period. I would not worry. Slight spotting is normal some woman have it through out the pregnancy and some never get it at all. As long as there is no cramping or dark red blood I would not worry. But if at any point and time you cramp or the spotting turns bright red and is like having your period or if you are releasing clumps. I would immediately go to the ER.
If you are still worried about the spotting call your doctor and speak to them or their nurse. They will be able to tell you if this is anything to worry about and if they think it is they may have you come in early or send you to the ER. Around 7 weeks into my current pregnancy I had some spotting that turned into blood. DH and I went to the ER because the doctor told me if the blood was red and heavy like my period to go to the ER immediately. Fortunately all was well and nothing was wrong with the baby. I spotted for quite a few week and then on X-mas it just stopped. This started right around the time I would normally get my period and the doctor says this also sometimes happens. If you are truly worried call your doctor and they can help you to determine whether you need medical attention or just a bit more rest and relaxation.
