Room Bar Light
Ideas for a coffee bar?
My youth group is currently transforming the room into a coffee bar/lounge area. We have the "bar," and the room is all painted. It still doesn't have that relaxed and warm feel to it. If anyone has any ideas--lighting, windows, etc.--it would be very helpful.
coffee bar is a great idea, I love them and I notice that that "warm cozy feel" comes from colors that are brown (coffee) and orange... and other warm colors in your decor.... and some south american influence.... eclectic things.. like alizard on the wall.. maps of guatamala, and other great coffee producing countries...... the colors suggest warmth, as I said dark brown wooden furniture..... orange... yellow (sun).... and caramel colors...... book shelves and lots of books and magazines..... pictures on the wall of modern art...... the smell of warm baked goods helps a lot, add muffins, cakes etc.....
the large wipe off chalk board is great with "today's specials"
a sign about a coffee club, like buy 5 get 1 free or something.....
if its a "Christian" coffee house then obviously there can be Christian influences! music... or music themes..... play christian radio...... the list goes on, its endless with a coffee house!!!!! track lighting...
