my wifes cousin broke his ankle rough-housing in our yard...he needed surgery for pins and screws to repair the break.......the day after the surgery (he still is on a morpine drip at that point)(the doctor said he will be in excruiating pain for awhile) ..........so my wife and his wife go to visit him in the hospital and he has two beers on his table at the bed.........he says.the doctor had the nurse go to the doctors car and get a six pack for him...(he certainly did not walk anywhere to get them).....the wifes can not verify his story......the doctor and nurse are busy elsewhere in the hospital...our best guess would be one of his alcoholic biker - buds brought it in.....

No, he did not get his beer from a doctor. That goes against a doctor's ethics. From the way it sounds, he is an alcoholic and is looking for a way to get it, and making up flimsy excuses for it. My dad is a recovering alcoholic(15 years sober) and he said when he had a muscle biopsy, he went home and started drinking right away. So it sounds like this guy is an alcoholic and needs more help than a few pins and screws.
