Red Skin
How can one explain how its possible to have bright red skin in a character?
so i'm doing character design project things, adn they're pretty strict ont he details, so here is the question, my characteris an extra-terristrial which has has bright red skin how is this scientifically possible or even non scientific posisbly some kinda explanation would be cool,
i looked on memory alpha concerning articles about the vulcans skin tone, but i couldn't really use it to explain red skin.
A higher concentrate of copper in the blood stream could contribute to, say, greenish skin tone. One could postulate that a higher concentrate of iron might be an explanation to redder skin tone.
Or, if one could explain how iron could pigment a skin surface in the same way melanin does in humans.

Do Dry Red Skin Care Products Continue To Fail You? Here Is What You Need To Know First
