why racing in new zealand with gas at $7.00 a gallon?
i read on someones question that gas is around $7.00 a gallon but they make less money than in the u.s and they have less public transportation so how come their are so many racers and gearheads in new zealand?

Is ther a rule in some type of car racing wher the cars must hav enough gas to complete1 ful lap after finsh? ?
I remember watching some type of f1 or IRL or something where the winner was disqualified as he did not have enough gas to complete an extra lap and make into the pits after fininshing the race, is this right? im trying to win an argument
I remember watching the Canadian GP in 1995 where the winner Jean Alesi ran out of gas and had to hitch a ride with Michael Schumacher. Alesi is still credited with that win, so I guess there is no such rule in F1.
