Taiwan Epistar 600 million U.S. dollars Changzhou LED epitaxial wafers and chips project started
April 8, from Taiwan Epistar Corporation invested 600 million U.S. dollars building the LED epitaxial wafer and chip manufacturing projects - optical crystal materials (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., export processing zones in the military held a groundbreaking ceremony. Companies wafer production capacity ranks first in the world, quaternary AlGaInP high brightness red, orange and yellow light emitting diodes in the world market share of above 40%, is the world's largest LED manufacturer Quaternary; Blu-ray LED output accounting for 20%, ranking the world's top three. Epistar import and export processing zones in the arms of investment LED epitaxial wafers and chip manufacturing project in the December 3, 2009 in Nanjing signed, the project will be phased construction, a total investment of 360 million U.S. dollars registered capital of 120 million U.S. dollars, is expected to full production next April.
