Is Organic food REALLY that much better?
I mean I hate all this annoying preachings about it, i mean i read this on a website:
organic and conventionally grown produce are both good and even "Organic foods are not 100% organic, there is no signs that organic lowers your risk of cancer or is better for you.

there is so much research and quite frankly i am sick of these people saying its better as long as you eat and keep well, isn't that all that matters?
While I do believe that organic is probably better in the long run, whenever I look at them at the store they are always misshapen and goofy looking and very expensive. When I was younger and raised a huge garden, I grew organic and mine looked a whole lot better than what is in the stores.
What I do not understand is all the talk of antibiotic laden meats. If your animals get sick, is it better to allow them to die or get those antibiotics? Wouldn't leaving sick animals untreated be grounds for cruelty accusations? Why do antibiotics stay forever in a cow but not in a human? I also raised baby chicks and if you do not feed the antibiotic containing chick starter, they can get a disease called coccydiosis that can run rampant through a coop full of babies and kill the whole flock. I tried without it once and lost nearly 2/3 of my baby chicks.
Same with the milk. Complaints of hormones and antibiotics abound but I know for a fact that the milk is tested for antibiotics and is rejected if the count is too high. Same with bacteria. This is for a regular grade A Dairy farm. So why is the assumption that all non organic milk is "bad" and full of antibiotics, hormones and bacteria??
As a farm child and adult, I tend to make up my own mind and while organics may well be better, I simply cannot afford to buy nor want to buy crappy looking stuff at inflated prices.
