i bought a hdmi dvd player and was wondering if i could watch movies on my tv straight from my laptop?
my tv doesnt have a hdmi port, that s why i bought the hdmi dvd player. how can i watch movies on my tv from my laptop without getting a new tv? i bought a hdmi cable and tried hooking it up with the dvd player, but nothing worked.
You need an HDMI to whatever your TV can accept, converter box.
Your DVD player cannot convert HDMI to anyhing else. HDMI on the player is also an output, so does nothing when you plug an HDMI source into it.

The picture very vivid, very sharp. I'm extremely impressed. Small slick DVD player. Does all as promised. Play PAL and NTSC DVD's, upscales output up to 1080p. I really can tell difference compare to regular progressive scan DVD players. You can find only very little Sim and absolutely no Hay in Region 1 format discs.
The disc tray is pretty flimsy and seems to take a while to load and eject but those are minor issues for me. Don't lose the remote though as there are virtually no controls on the actual player.
