Pils Beer

A good crisp 'light colored' (inexpensive) beer for a beer nut?
I love hoppy IPA's, toasty porters, complex bitters and hops; I know the sweet complexities of ale-on-lees, the delights of lambics, the cool refreshment of a good wheatbeer...
...but among the beer lovers here, what's the choice for a 'quaffing' beer...what's the light-colored, Pils-style beer YOU turn to when you just want something simple, or when the beer case is not very well-stocked at the local 7-11?
What's the 'cheap' beer of a beer lover's choice?
Specifically, I'm looking for something light-tasting and colored, but with a good honest crisp and light taste...and something I can get when I'm on the road and the selections are slim...
Any suggestions?
Inexpensive is a relative term. I don't blink at 10 dollars for a beer when out at a bar. I will turn to a Sam Adam's Boston Lager or Cherry Wheat when I'm going cheaper.. or a Goose Island Honkers, 312 or IPA. When I'm slumming it I love my PBR.

What's your favorite import Pilsner?
I'm a big fan of Becks. I don't care if it's a mass-produced beer. It's got that Northern European Pils taste down.
