stuff to rid snails (20 Characters)?
Well, the guy at wamart told me he uses pennies b/c the copper kills them. i got about 25 cents in pennies in my tank and these suckers are still breeding and i find out 15 everyday that i get rid of. two or three would be okay, but not 30+. Also they are constantly breeding. I bought some fish that would eat them. I bought clown loaches to be exact. They died three days after purchase. I sent them back, got one more. It died, i sent it back and got my money back. I don't know what was wrong. My tank was okay for other fish (molly, platy, swordtail, guppy, kissing gourami, cory, pleco, neon tetra, glolight tetra danio and a red glofish). The loaches just didn't make it. One got stuck to my filter for some reason.
Does anyone know what this snail killer with copper in it that can be bought is called or where i can buy it. The closet pet smart/petco/pet supplies plus is 45+ minutes. Is it something Walmart/meijer would have? Thanks
btw i got a 55 gal. tank
To get rid of pest snails put a leaf of lettuce in your fish tank at night. In the morning remove it and it will be covered with snails. Repeat until all the snails are gone.
