Harvard President says women are sub-par by a lot. 0bama gives him a top job. Does 0bama deserve Nobel Prize?
.... or possibly a top award from NOW for hiring, support, and giving a top job to a misogynist?
NOW wrote a nasty letter to Harvard telling them to fire this man after he disclosed how he truly sees women.
Yet, 0bama, Rham, and Biden are meeting with him right in this photo in the Oval Office.

Larry was Harvard's president, said women are sub-par by a lot, and now is 0bama's head of the National Economic Council.
NY Times has a piece about how few women are promoted to professorship (especially in sciences) under Mr. Summers' term as president BEFORE he made those sexist remarks. Don't you love how Dems will tolerate a woman-hater as long as 0bama hires him?

The Committee decides who does and who does not deserve the prize. So that answers that question about "deserving."
And I don't know why Obama nominated this man. Sure he's an acknowledged expert in economics, but he's also a conservative who is overly supportive of tax cuts. Why would Obama want such a man in the government? Probably because, like most Harvard people, Obama is more impressed by his own institution than he is by qualified scholars from other institutions. That's a shame.

What's wrong with Obama being elite?
The last time I checked, being elite was a good thing. It was something to strive for. I hope my kids grow up to attend an elite ivy league school. I would be so proud if one of them graduated from Harvard. In terms of the election, we're talking about being President of the United States here! Don't people want that person to be as elite as possible? Isn't the presidency the most elite position in this world? I don't want the next president to be someone I can have a beer with in a bar. That's setting the expectations pretty low. Believe me, if you're sitting in a bar having a beer with me, I feel sorry for you. The president of the United States should be BETTER than me, better than the average person. I don't want average joe in the oval office. I want the best, most elite mind we've got. This country deserves nothing less so I'm confused. Why is being elite such a bad thing in this election?
These past few elections have been reduced to which candidate you would rather have a beer with.
