How come others notice more that you do when you lose weight?
I've been working out and eating healthy for about 4 months now --- I've gone down from a size 7-9 to a size 5-7. I've heard from lots of people that I'm "really skinny/twig/whatever" but I really don't think I am - in fact, I feel like I KNOW that I'm not... I still have some belly flab and underarm flab that bothers me and I haven't reached my goal yet. Anywho, what I'm wondering is why do others notice so much and I still feel like I have the same amount of belly flab as before. I mean - when I poke my belly it feels tighter but I still "see" the flab. A confidence booster would be greatly appreciated, or any info! lol ~ Thanks a mill.
Mostly because you see yourself everyday, losing over time little by little you don't notice. People who have not seen you in awhile notice because they remember you one way and now you look different. Kind of like parent who don't realize how big their children have grown, until some relative at Christmas tells them.

Why Some Politicians Are More Dangerous to Your Health Than Others (Hardcover) $25.13 Politicians and the political process, even in ostensibly democratic countries, can be deadly. James Gilligan has discovered a devastating truth that has been "hiding in plain sight" for the past century - namely, that when America`s conservative party, the Republicans, have gained the presidency, the country has repeatedly suffered from epidemics of violent death. Rates of both suicide and homicide have sky-rocketed. The reasons are all too obvious: rates of every form of social and economic distress, inequality and loss - unemployment, recessions, poverty, bankruptcy, homelessness also ballooned to epidemic proportions. When that has happened, those in the population who were most vulnerable have "snapped", with tragic consequences for everyone. These epidemics of lethal violence have then remained at epidemic levels until the more liberal party, the Democrats, regained the White House and dramatically reduced the amount of deadly violence by diminishing the magnitude of the economic distress that had been causing it. This pattern has been documented since 1900, when the US government first began compiling vital statistics on a yearly basis, and yet it has not been noticed by anyone until now except with regard to suicide in the UK and Australia, where a similar pattern has been described. This book is a path-breaking account of a phenomenon that has implications for every country that presumes to call itself democratic, civilized and humane, and for all those citizens, voters and political thinkers who would like to help their country move in that direction. |

The Death of Olivier Becaille and Others $18.15 The title story the tale of a living man mistaken for dead and buried in a coffin is wonderful stuff, like all of Zola. But its not alone: also included in this collection are Captain Burle, The Millers Daughter, and The Flood. Zola is prehaps bestremembered for his role in the Dreyfus affair: his Jaccuse charged the thencurrent French government of antisemitism. It had, he said, wrongfully placing the Jewish army captain Alfred Dreyfus in jail. This accusatory tale didnt appear in a journal, but as an accusatory letter (addressed to thenPresident Flix Faure ) on the front page of a Paris daily, LAurore. Zola was brought to trial for criminal libel on 9 June 1899, and was convicted on 23 February, sentenced, and removed from the Legion of Honor. He declared that Dreyfus conviction and removal to a prisoners island came after a false accusation of espionage and was a miscarriage of justice. Rather than go to jail, he fled to England. But soon he was allowed to return in time to see the government fall. More than half of Zolas novels were part of a set of twenty collectively known as Les RougonMacquart. Set in Frances Second Empire, the series traces the hereditary influence of violence, alcoholism, and prostitution in two branches of a single family: the respectable (that is, legitimate) Rougons and the disreputable (illegitimate) Macquarts, for five generations. - I wish that there should be no one on this earth who should die of hunger.
- I wish that all serving with the state must serve as public servants and none of them should pose himself as the master of people and take them as his slaves.
- I wish that couples should produce children and the number should not be beyond their sources of income because today, it is very difficult to give proper care, proper education, proper training and then proper adjustment to the child we bear.
- I want that list of those be published who are holding bank accounts with secret number with Swiss banks and the state must immediately confiscate all the balances and deposit those balances with the state exchequer till the people actually give true accounts and satisfy the state that they were depositing their own money with those banks.
- I like that the people should think of the right person and they should forget parties and alliances when they cast their votes because parties are not distributing tickets on merits alone and at times, parties have to sell tickets and when tickets are sold, merit is ignored.
- I like that everyone holding properties and assets must make a will during his life time and that will should be justified and should not discriminate with any member of the family only because the testator does not like him or her. All should get due and equal share, as per law of the land.
- I wish that God must come down on this earth and must be available before us so that we could talk to Him directly and the present system must go because we are praying before God which is not in our sight.
- I wish that all religious books may be translated and must be made so easy so that everyone listening to those books must understand each sentence and each word and must be able to digest the same for follow up action.
- I wish that none on earth should earn his living just running or serving at a religious place.
10. I want that none on earth should be condemned and none should feel that he is being discriminated .
11. I like young people of today because they are better qualified and are well behaved.
12. I like rich people and at the same time I want that there should be none who is poor and is exploited by the rich people.
13. I like mythological stories because they are well written by scholars and they contain some of the facts like one in fictions when history is a rough subject.
14. I want hot when it is cool and I want cool when it is hot and I do not know why I cannot like the season which is going on.
15. I am happy that I have been sent on this earth and I am experiencing good and bad things in this life. It seems I am a character in novel or in a short story.
