Open Sign Red
Email sent to my yahoo mail arrives with the text only, the images are missing. Image box with the red +?
is there as a place holder. Clicking on the + sign & selecting open does nothing. So far this issue is with mail sent by AOL or Outlook. From my yahoo mail, I can forward that message with the missing images & the photos appear in the forwarded massage. But again, they are not in the original message received. POI: mail sent to my hotmail address arrives complete with text & images. Therefore I feel my browser & firewall setting are ok. At least they work well with hotmail. How do I get the images to show?
RESOLUTION
To troubleshoot this issue, follow these steps. After each step, check to see if the issue is
resolved. If the issue still occurs, continue troubleshooting with the next step: 1. Clear
temporary Internet files. To clear temporary Internet files, follow these steps: a. On the
Tools menu, click Internet Options.
b. On the General tab, click Delete Files under Temporary Internet files.
c. Select the Delete all offline content check box, and then click OK.
d. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
2. Right-click the red X or placeholder for the image, and then click Properties. Verify
that the image type is supported by Internet Explorer by examining the Type or Address
(URL) values in the Properties dialog box. For example, a Graphics Interchange Format
(GIF) file will list GIF Image for Type and the Address (URL) ends with .gif. Internet
Explorer displays images with an .art, .wmf, .emf, .png, .mov, .xbm, .avi, .mpg, .gif, .jpg,
.mpeg, and .bmp extensions.
3. Start Internet Explorer.
4. If you have the Toggle Images.exe Web accessory installed, click the Toggle
Images.exe link on the Links toolbar to turn on images.
Note If the Links toolbar is not visible, right-click a blank area of the toolbar and verify
that there is a check next to Links. If the Toggle Images.exe link is not visible on the
Links toolbar, click the arrow with two angle brackets on the far right-side of the Links
toolbar.
5. Verify that Show Pictures has not been turned off in Internet Explorer: a. On the Tools
menu, click Internet Options.
b. Click the Advanced tab, and then verify that the Show Pictures check box is selected
under Multimedia.
c. Click OK.
6. Make sure scripting, ActiveX controls, cookies, and Java applets are enabled in
Internet Explorer. To do so, follow these steps: a. On the Tools menu, click Internet
Options.
b. Click the Security tab, and then click Default Level (if it is available) for the zone
which contains the Web page (for example, Internet).
c. If you are using Internet Explorer 6, click the Privacy tab, and then click Default (if it
is available).

Symptoms of Acne- Signs and Symptoms of Acne
Acne is a skin condition characterized by pimples, which may be closed (sometimes called pustules or “whiteheads”) or open (blackheads), on the face, neck, chest, back, and shoulders. Most acne is mild, although some people experience inflammation with larger cysts, which may result in scarring.
Acne vulgaris occurs mostly on the face, neck, and back of most commonly teenagers and to a lesser extent of young adults. The condition results in part from excessive stimulation of the skin by androgens (male hormones). Bacterial infection of the skin also appears to play a role.
Signs and symptoms
Comedones (whiteheads and blackheads). Comedones (kom-uh-DO-neze) are created when the openings of hair follicles become clogged and blocked with oil secretions, dead skin cells and sometimes bacteria. When comedones are open at the skin surface they're called blackheads because of the dark appearance of the plugs in the hair follicles. When comedones are closed, they're called whiteheads — slightly raised, skin-colored bumps.
Cysts. These are painful, pus-filled lumps beneath the surface of the skin. These boil-like infections can cause scars.
Some of the symptoms are:-
Dark spots with open pores
Red spots, swelling or lumps filled with pus around the affected area
Inflamed fluid-filled lumps under the skin which is known as cysts
Pain and itching around the affected area
Scarring is also one of the symptom of acne
After trying all the conventional treatments for my acne with which I had little, if no success, I needed to find an alternative. After days of research on the internet, I discovered Mike Walden. Hurray! Mike details in his book ”Acne No More”, a system for dealing with the inner causes of acne so that you no longer have to treat the symptoms.
The next type of symptom that forms on the skin of acne suffering is large solid lumps known as Nodules, which form underneath the skins surface. As well as being large and unsightly these are also painful as well and have been caused because oil and other secretions have been able to build up deep within the hairs follicles.
Finally there are cysts these again are painful and are similar in appearance to nodules but they are also filled with pus. The biggest problem a person faces if they have this kind of acne symptom is that they can lead to scarring.
The most prominent symptoms of acne are the pimples that appear generally on the face. The most common regions of the face for the acne to appear are the cheeks, the nose and the forehead. However in extreme cases, the pimples could spread to the chest, back and the arms.
Pimples are tiny eruptions on the skin which go away within a couple of days. In some cases the pimples could develop pus in them, which would make them bigger in size and more prominent.
The following are the most common symptoms of acne. However, each person may experience symptoms differently:
Blackheads
whiteheads
pus-filled lesions that may be painful
nodules (solid, raised bumps)
