Open Fresh Bbq
For how long can meat stay in the fridge without freezing?
I have found a piece of meat from the bbq we made last Saturday in the fridge instead of the freezer, this was fresh meat at the time it was put in the fridge... it was forgotten there for 5 days and it was never freeze before as it came in a sealed pack and didn't need refrigeration until it was opened from the pack which was 5 days ago
So it is been for 5 days in the fridge instead of the freezer, could this still be good for consumption? How can I tell that?
When I found it I put it strait into the freezer, being this for first time ever
This is raw meat, it was cut and keep by mistake in the fridge instead of the freezer and forgotten for 5 days...
It will probably be OK, but I only allow 3-5 days, depending upon how it is wrapped and what it smells like.
