Off Engine
What would cause white smoke to come out of my motorcycle? Even after shut off my engine?
I had to take off the carbs, I put them back on. I had sprayed carb cleaner into the carbs but didn't disassemble them. The idle mixture screw got completely thrown out of its normal setting. I started the engine, got white smoke. I shut off engine, white smoke still poured out one of the exhaust pipes for about 5 minutes. What burned? Was it carb cleaner? Was it a very VERY rich fuel mixture that burned heavy smoke? It is a four stroke engine with no liquid coolant of any kind. Thanks a lot.
simply this as you sprayed the cleaner it flooded the cylinder and when the Eng cranked over it pumped the cleaner into the exhaust and is in the pipe smouldering, restart the bike and let it burn off, and that cleaner has an eye burning smell
