Im selling novelty products that could be potentially misused. I would like to write a discalimer that the consumer could sign that would wave my responsibility for any misuse and protects me for any penalties legal or otherwise. In other words i want something they can sign so i dont get in trouble if they do something stupid.
The products arent dangerous or harmful. Such things as "Fake" Grade 12 School IDs to impress your friends (With FAKE written across the back), if someone attempts to use it to purchase alcohol or something I dont want to get in trouble. And other things.
Your best bet is going to a website like legalzoom.com or nolo.com and looking for free forms you can use.
When it comes to exculpatory clauses though, some judges have been known to throw those contracts out of jail with the reasoning that: If you knew it could be potentially hazardous and you knew that this could potentially happen, you never should have sold it.
