What would be the effect on people if they nothing higher to look forward to and just rules?
Im just wondering, this could lead to helping me with my homework ideas. If people had nothing to look forward to (like heaven) and they just had government rules, what would be the change in the world? Like u no cause people follow certain rules cause they want to get into heaven and so fourth. So any ideas?
I don't believe in heaven. I do good things because that is the way human beings should behave. Whether or not there is an afterlife has little impact on most people. For example, lots of mass murderers, such as Islamic terrorists, and Catholic priests during the Spanish inquisition, have believed very strongly in heaven.
