Neon Light Wire Kit
Neon / LED Anyone???
I want to put underglow on my GSX-R 1000, but I found the kits are incredibly overpriced so I'm just going to buy the bulbs / strips from a supplier, buy my own wire, and probably get a wireless key system from one of the package stores online.
1) will LED's make more of a spotlight effect than an even glow on the ground, even if there's hundreds of bulbs? Or should I stick to neon, what will look better?
2) Do you know of anywhere (online or not) I can get LED nodes or strips, I know the bike lighting places are taking advantage of people, LED's are not nearly that expensive, and I can't find neon bulbs anywhere!
I have a 2006 Yamaha 1100 custom v star and I went with the led kit. I get a great show look, But I had mine installed at the Las Vegas bike fest in 2006. It cost 400.00, but It was done great!
I recently went to auto zone and they ave these flexible led kits in different lengths that you can buy really cheap, and they are so bright. I had never seen them before, but I m impressed. They mold to anything.I did alot of research on the neon VS led, and the led uses alot less power also. I have kept mine on for 2 or thre days without my battery going down! Neon tubes are really fragile and hard to find replacements for.
