Does anyone have any children between the ages of 3-4 that have started music lessons?
How much do think they have helped your child and how did you find the lessons? My 3 1/2 year old son has a lot of interest in music and I would like to find some classes for him. I've found that most of the classes are for older kids. Just wondering what other people's experiences have been.
I would enroll your child in any movement/dance class that involved some instruments. I received my Bachelor in Music/flute with an music teaching credential for ages k-12 with instrumental music training. I have had many years of teaching children and at this age there are different types of classes available for your child. Orff method classes involve more instruments like Kindermusik. You can find classes by calling music teachers in the area your local music store. They often have flyers posted. Your library may know of classes i.e. our library has singing for little children.
It is never too soon to have children participate in the arts. Actually all children should have the opportunity. It makes them smarter and develop motor skills earlier.
First act company also has little instruments for this age. I would purchase some percussion instruments from this maker and turn on different kinds of music and have them play for fun. It may seem primative but not for the child. Hearing the beat is important growth. First ACT products are sold at Target and Tuesday Morning or on the internet. Inexpensive. I started this way and now I am a classical flutist. I can play almost any instrument. My mother played Hendrix and Beethoven! I danced my way into music.

Hrmm I think the legal age for a casual job is around 14 and a half... however maybe she can deliver pamphletes and newspapers locally?
Or do some house work for family and friends?
