Is there a market for cayote, and possum meat, and if does anyone have a site that gives more info?

I heard possum was a delacacy (sp), just interested in more info.

Possom was certainly a delicacy in poor, rural areas when I was a kid, but you never hear about people eating it anymore because now everybody (except maybe Ted Nugent) buys everything in grocery stores.

The only way that I know of that you'll get possom meat is to go out and kill one, clean and cook it yourself.

I have never heard of anybody eating coyote, and can't think of any reason why anybody would want to eat it. It would be like eating a tough old dog. Sound appetizing? No, didn't think so!

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A possum (plural form: possums) is any of about 69 small to mediumsized arboreal marsupial species native to Australia, New Guinea, and Sulawesi (and introduced to New Zealand and China). The name derives from their resemblance to the opossums of the Americas. (The name is from Algonquian wapathemwa, not Greek or Latin, so the plural is possums, not possa.) Possum is also used in North America as a short form of Opossum. Possums are quadrupedal diprotodont marsupials with long tails. The smallest possum, indeed the smallest diprotodont marsupial, is the Little Pygmy Possum with an adult headbody length of 70mm and a weight of 10g. The largest is the Bear Cuscus that may exceed 7kg. Possums are typically nocturnal and at least partially arboreal. The various species inhabit most vegetated habitats and a few species have adjusted well to urban settings. Diets range from generalist herbivores or omnivores (the Common Brushtail possum) to specialist browsers of eucalyptus (Greater Glider), insectivores (Mountain Pygmy Possum) and nectarfeeders (Honey Possum). Can Mosquito's carry HIV, Do all Possum's and or Bats carry Rabies,Why are African Americans...?

Why are African American people more likely to get lung cancer, kidney cancer, heart disease and many others, than Whites
thanks that makes sense, I never did think mosquitos could carry hiv, but always wondered why

Possum and bats carry rabies. The person before is mistaken.

Mosquitos do not vector HIV because they are not warm enough to keep it incubated.

African American issues are a biproduct of socioeconomic status, diet, and lack of access to medical care. Granted this is just applicable to a subset of the population, but it is large enough to offset the numbers. However, they tend to have more heart trouble due to higher natural cholesterol levels. But the same can be said for Europeans.
