Oktoberfest questions?
Just heard from a Filipino friend that you have a beer festival outside Megamall. Then I saw it was hosted by San Miguel. Does that mean they only serve SM beer? I can find videos on YouTube but only of bands, not of the festival itself.
Just wondering how it compares to UK beer festivals where, like the Swindon one I'm going to at the end of this month, they have over a 100 beers, ciders, and perrys from various independant brewers. You pay for entry and then pay for each beer. It's no cheaper than buying in a bar but does have the advantage of being able to try lots of different beers.
First, they should consider changing the name to something in our language. Oktoberfest is German. I have been to one in Germany.

There are several options if you aren't in the USA or cant afford the tickets to see the Pacman live, for me, the best place to watch a boxing match is a sports bar. Here you can get together with the boys and no matter what time it is you can start hitting the beer and the barbecue. Its a great excuse to write a whole Sunday off and claim your just being patriotic and supporting your home town hero (that's my excuse at least).
Apart from the camaraderie and the excitement that you feed off of each other, there's the side bets and the whole atmosphere to it-definitely my choice!

Hmmm.. its definitely an alternative if you can't leave the house. Not as exciting, but if your a fan -hell! anything will do - if you are going to watch the fight you will want to visit several torrents site to see who has the best live stream of the Pacman Clottey fight. This is a hugely popular option in the Philippines - the big screen, pop-corn,and the mall opens early on fight day so even if the wife does not want to watch the fight she can go shopping with the kids, however being in a dark place and not knowing who's beside you (and not having a San Miguel beer in my hand) is a turn-off for me
