What would the mad catz HDMI Conversion Kit (designed for the xbox 360) do for my Wii?
My current Wii set-up uses the HD component cables-and I was wondering if the HDMI conversion would make the picture quality any better?-I know it's probably a waste of $90 though.
if your tv is hd ready and has the ability to go up to 1080p, then your picture quality would be even better. all my tv's (42" plasma, 46" lcd and 52" sharp aquos) are all hdmi tv's. i play the xbox 360 and wii on the sharp with just the AV cables and i'm satisfied. my husband plays his ps3 on the 46" lcd and he loves it equally. it's all up to you.
i'm happy with what i got, but if you're not happy with your picture quality and if you're willing to spend that much for an hdmi conversion kit, then by all means, make yourself happy! try to find someone who has it already just so that you can see if there really is a difference.
however, i just went to the wii settings and they don't offer a change in resolution except up to 480 unless the settings change with component cables up to 720.
