staffy ... am i doing the right thing ?
my pure bread staffy is 4 months old its the american one ....... i am feeding him purina (bonnie) adult dry food .... 3 cups of food with 2 eggs .... and for lunch 2 cups of food with a tin of tuna .... i walk him once a day for about 20 mins and play with him almost all day he is part of my life i treat him like my child i do NOT want him to be huge nor do i want him to be unhappy he sleeps on my leather lounge so he is not really treated like a dog he is treated like a human ..... im just wondering if im doing anything wrong or if i should add something to better his life and happiness ????
WOW!! He is getting more food than my Mastiffs got and they weighed 175lbs. You are going to love him to death literally.
Dogs are like people some are easy keepers and require less food and others have a higher metabolism and require more food to maintain the right weight.
I would start on the lower side like 2c.in the morning without the eggs and 2c. for 2nd. meal without the tuna. Raw eggs and tuna are not that good for the dog. Don't feed by the dog food bag measurements just use good judgment and watch his weight. Keep in mind that he is a puppy and he will grow up and look tall and thin then in a week or two he will start growing out and look heavier. If you want the fish oil for his coat get some Omega 3 capsules (human kind) and give him 1 or 2 with one of his meals.
Nothing wrong with making your dog a member of the family. My 5 Mastiffs had their own room with mattress's on the floor, sheets, comforters and pillows, talk about spoiled but I was always very careful about their weight.

Ipoh: A Refreshing New Tropical Escape
In the early days, Ipoh became wealthy on the backyard of the tin mining industry that flourished. The tin rush, early last century, brought in an influx of many races and cultures from the neighboring countries making it a melting pot of culture and variety. Many who came down as settlers made fortunes, built opulent town houses and made Ipoh home due to its laidback, old world charm and feel. These houses that the early settlers built lie mostly in the old town area, where the Indians have created their own 'Little India’ and the Chinese have created one of the Malaysia's best-preserved Chinatowns, the Old Town. The clash and amalgamation of various cultures and races is well evident in Ipoh as is in many other places in Malaysia, while it remains more real and untouched here than in any other.
The Old Town and New Town of Ipoh are separated by the Kinta River. Old Town hosts pre-World War II shop-houses, heritage buildings, and some Government buildings while the New Town comprises the area later developed, stretching all the way from Kinta River to Greentown holding the new face of Ipoh with its modern shops, buildings, shopping malls and housing estates and theme water parks.
Ipoh was made famous by its white coffee which is a popular drink that originated solely in Ipoh, Malaysia in which the coffee beans are roasted with palm-oil margarine, and the resulting coffee is served with condensed milk. White coffee, though it isn’t perfectly white, is produced with only margarine and without any sugar, resulting in a less dark roast.
