Light Purple Bar
I need help with an early 2009 iMac, OMG HELP.?
I bought an iMac in February 2009. Like, the beginning of February, right? But, after a month, I've been having problems with the graphics.
Problem: Sometimes after I wake the computer up from sleep, two large vertical purple bars appear and then disappear. It did that for awhile, and then became worse this month. When I was using my computer it suddenly had half the screen highlighted in purple and green and disappeared, then today, at the bottom of the screen it would er...cut off? and then return to normal. And sometimes the text would high light in green or purple or white and flash the color and disappear.
Oh and was I suppose to get iLife 09 with my computer? Because I thought I was but then when I got it, it came with iLife 08.

Edit: I do have the Apple Care Protection Plan.
but I don't know if it's just a glitch or anything.
This sounds like the symptoms of GPU or video memory failure. Make sure to get it fixed before your warranty or protection plan runs out. You may want to wait for it to get a bit worse to be 100% sure that they don't miss the problem and tell you everything's fine. (It will likely get worse as the GPU heats and cools, causing more of the connection to fracture, increasing contact resistance.)

Light As A Feather But Sharp As A Knife
Lacrosse is no stranger to break through technology. It seems that since the sport really started spreading through schools in the United States the equipment used on the field has gone from near primitive to some of the most advanced technology in sports. Padding has been streamlined and sticks have been tweaked for top performance.
I still remember the day that our Cascade salesman first walked through the door of our office with the prototype of the Iris Lacrosse Mask. Our first thought is that it resembled one of the old basketball eye guards we had on the shelf from the 70’s. That notion quickly faded as we realized that this was going to be a big hit. Not only did it provide more protection than the goggles used in women’s lacrosse at the time but we realized immediately that the “fog” factor was gone.
