Light Fresh Beer
Can the beer experts help me out!?
Hi guys!! I am very curious about finding out if beer actually spoils or not. I have looked everywhere on line, and I can't seem to find a straight answer. I have looked at many sites that were very insightful, but didn't have the answer I was looking for. I understand that the beer is normally good within 110 days or so after the "born on" date, but is it actually un drinkable after that, or just not as fresh? I am also speaking of an american light lager....I have heard that darker imported lagers can in fact be aged. But nothing about american light lagers. Thanks for taking the time to read this!!

Most beers do eventually expire. Higher ABV beers can have a great shelf life and can actually benefit from being put away for a few years (Barley Wines, Imperial Russian Stouts, etc.) Remember to store beer upright, and the truth is unless it is what we call "light struck" then it is probably drinkable but just not as enjoyable and maybe not what the brewer had intended it to be. In your case, if it is an American Light Lager (I'm assuming Miller, Bud, Coors, etc) These have a lot of chemicals and preservatives so they have a real good shelf life but aren't nearly as enjoyable as anything you get from a microbrewery

How to Get Rid of a Beer Belly
How to get rid of a beer belly? Well if you want a straight answer, stop drinking! Or at least cut down your intake of alcohol! The problem is that alcohol contains so many emty calories that especially in men tends to turn into a beer belly!
As I said the best way to rid of a beer belly is to change the beer to something more to the liking of your belly. Like soft drinks, especially fresh juice and water. After a couple of weeks you will soon notice the difference with regards to your beer belly!
If stopping drinking is not for you why not try some other types of alcohol. Light ale or beer contains less calories and may help reduce the beer gut! But it depends how much you drink, don't think you can drink more pints because it has less calories!
The other problem with drinking is that it tends to increase your appetite. So as we all do those take-aways at weekends must be cut back on. But as I said cut back on the beer, this will cut back the take-away cravings! You will definitely feel better in the morning knowing that you have drunk less, and kept away from that dodgy food the local fast food chain had to offer!
Drinking less can not just get rid of that belly belly but increase the overall health of your body, and lets be honest that cannot be a bad thing. Drinking to much alcohol can lead to many problems, for example heart disease.
