Light Desk Lamp
How can I change the brightness/dim my desk lamp?
I have a desk lamp that is 20W 12V incandescent light bulb. Basically I want to be able to adjust the lights brightness so it can be extremely dim or at max (20W) brightness as I choose.
How can I do this?

You can buy a dimmer from home depot or a hardware store for about US$12 that lets you dim the lamp as desired.
the control is a small box about 3" by 1.5" by 3/4" on a cable. Works fine, I have a bunch of these for various lights.
edit, just saw the 12 volt value. I assume this is 12 volts DC. A dimmer as above will not work here.
Scrap the lamp and get a 120 VAC one that will work with a dimmer.
