Level Protractor
Math Question Please help?
A kite flier wondered how high her kite was flying. She used a protractor to measure an angle of 48° from level ground to the kite string. If she used a full 105 yard spool of string, how high, in feet, was the kite? Round your answer to 3 decimal places. (Disregard the string sag and the height of the string reel above the ground.)

Hello,
All it is is a triangle, and you have to figure out the height of it.
The sine of the angle, in the triangle, is equal to the height of the kite times the length of the string.
So the height of the kite is equal to the length of the string times the sine of the angle.
In other words:
height = 105·sin(48°)
height = 78.030 yards.
height in feet = 78.030·3 = 234.091 feet

I didn't buy this elliptical from Amazon but regardless, I got most of my information from these reviews so I will share mine.
I received the elliptical yesterday and I put it together myself, it took me about 4 hours (I was being obsessive with the details though).
I would recommend to anyone that buy this elliptical that they do purchase a rubber mallet (there are a total of 4 black bolt covers that hook together the arms and moving parts that need to be covered and there is a thin cylindrical bar that moves through the top of the frame to connect the tops of the moving arms to the track connectors and it is tough to push it in by hand, just get the mallet).
Also, as others have recommended, purchase some WD40 or silicone lubricant to spray on all the moving joints because the lubricant that is globbed on the moving parts isn't long lasting.
Take the box apart, lay out ALL of the parts and make sure you have everything as described in the manual because for me, 75% of the time it took for me to assemble it was due to looking for the parts in the pile I made 
A coupl eof others mentioned it and I have confirmed that there are a set of 4 black washers that are mislabelled "O" instead of "F" like they should be. These go on toward the end but it isn't confusing at all, you'll know what parts they are when you see them.
The most challenging part of putting the elliptical together is making sure the screw stays at the bottom are aligned appropriately before screwing everything together. I used a level and a protractor to make sure the levels were dead on so the machine wouldn't wobble and it worked. It's not a huge deal if the levels are a bit off accidentally, you can always put the machine on its side and adjust the screw heights if needed.
This machine is solid for a little under $600! I did my research and everyone loves this machine so I figured that I'd try it out. With all the joints lubricated appropriately there is NO squeaking at all and it works great. The resistance levels are challenging too, level 10 on this elliptical feels like a level 15 on the $6000 precor one I use at the gym I go to.
The only issue I noticed with everyone that bought this machine was that the custom users were so difficult to program. With me, that wasn't the case at all, all I needed to reference in the book to program a custom user was what button I needed to press to move from column to column, it was extremely easy to make a custom user for me.
All in all, I give this machine a ten out of ten, it's been very good so far. I will update this review after a month for some quick status on it.

Very sturdy and the right stride for a good workout.
Really liked the way the nuts and bolts were numbered. Made putting them together easy, as long as you follow the manual. But it took about 3 hrs to assemble.
No squeaking sounds so far. I do have some Lithium grease at hand in case something starts.
Wish they had given 2 user profiles instead of one.

I love this machine. I'm 185 lbs, and I can run hard on it without feeling any loss of stability. It's solidly built, and only occasionally squeaky (I think a pedal's loose.) Otherwise, it's silent-running and a great workout.

I read all the reviews prior so I was prepared for the mislabeled washer and screws the washer was just 4 little black washers and the 2 longer skinny screws that are mislabeled are for the water bottle holder you have to buy separate which was about 7 bucks if I remember right. It was not hard there was only one part that was slightly difficult that was the 3 screws under the 'pedals' they need to be lined up properly and you may need to hammer it in with a malette. The only other thing is that the y wrench doesn't fit the parts so you will need a slightly larger one but even I had that! Also directions were very easy to follow and delivery was easy. Yes you do have to lean alittle forward but it feels like a great workout!!!

Ordered this and it took about 7 days to recieve it. I did not order express shipping so that is not too bad. The box in and of it self is very heavy make sure when delivered it is brought into the room where you intend to use it or have a couple people with strong backs to help move it. It was very well packed is some respects almost too well packed as they had parts stuck in parts of the packing foam and it you are not carful I am sure you could miss a part. I assembled this my myself and and it took about 2 - 2.5 hours once I started to finish the assembly. One piece of advice is take the box and break it completly open and lay it flat on the floor and lay the parts on top of it. So far so good I have used it daily and I can have a TV on watch it while working out and not wake anyone up in the house.
I would recemend this to anyone.
