Enjoy the Kinetica Art Fair 2010 In Oxford Circus London
The Oxford Circus is a busy London underground and it’s not just an underground, however, it is quiet a happening place in terms of shopping, events, restaurants and of course luxury accommodation. The tube station organizes variety of events in order to keep the place lively and up with Londoners and tourists traveling to the capital city.
In the year 2010 various events are upcoming which will be a convenient option to visit especially for people staying at Oxford Circus hotels London. One such event which is scheduled for 4th to 7th February 2010 is the Kinetica art fair. This art fair is the second annual fair in London which showcases a blend of creative design and technology led art. This art fair displays cutting edge technology based kinetic robots, light and sound based art.
This year’s fair is going to held at the Ambika P3 space which is a unique 14,000 sqft ground and is the only art fair dedicated to the kinetic and robotic technology. Over 150 artists are exhibiting their pieces of work and over 25 galleries which specialize in new media, kinetic and electronic art. Among the works that are displayed: there is a family of holographic light beings, robots drawing humans and various other robotic installations.
Highlight of the art fair 2010 includes:
- Robotic installations from 1968 Cybernetic Serendipity show
- Kinetic sound installation from Ben Parry’s
- Light sculptures from Paul Friedlander a scientific artist
- Fusion of science and art from Rosaline de Thelin whose holographic sculptures are stimulated from quantum physics, scientific theories and astronomy
This forthcoming fair in Oxford Circus in London has enhanced the importance of cybernetic, kinetic, new media and electronic art in the mainstream.
