Imported Beer

Which type of imported beer taste better?
Which type of imported beer taste better and why? Examples: Heineken, Corona, etc.
The popularly know countries are going to be the best in this case Germany, England, and put Australian and Czech in a tie. The exception is that Belgian beers are not known to the average flavored water drinkers (mega) as it is to the barley water drinkers (craft), beer drinkers.
German has many lagers and many styles to choose from. The wheat beers of Germany are tops. My list of summer beer styles lists a great example from Berlin, Berliner Weisse. It is has a refreshingly sour snap with a satiating smooth wheat palate. The pilsners we all know well.
England is going to offer nice Bitter Ale styles and classic browns and porters also.
When talking sour beer we go back to Belgium which is king of old world beers such as Belgian Brown Sours, Lambics, and Gueze. For many beer drinkers these are the best type of imported beers. The Lambic style once aged may be further processed by resting it on cherries for a special Kriek or Cherry beer. Yet another great choose for summer.
Germany
Bitburger, Warsteiner, Trumer Pils, König Pilsener, Jever Pils, Holsten Pils, Spaten Pils, Hacker-Pschorr Münchner Gold, Paulaner Premium Lager, Spaten Premium Lager, Ayinger Oktoberfest-Märzen, Hacker-Pschorr Original Oktoberfest, Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier, Paulaner Hefe-Weizen, Hacker-Pschorr Weisse, Ayinger Bräu Weisse, Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse, Kapuziner Weissbier, Erdinger Weissbier and more.
England
Fuller's London Pride, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Young’s Special, Greene King Ruddles County Bitter, Sam Smith Yorkshire Beers, and more.
The Wineer Belgian Beers.
Rodenbach Grand Cru, Duchesse de Bourgogne,Petrus Oud Bruin, Verhaege Vichtenaar, Mestreechs Aajt, (Lambic selection is/are limited as imports in USA) Cantillon Grand Cru Bruocsella of whatever single batch vintage the brewer deems worthy to bottle. Cantillon, Lindemans, Timmermans and more. Fruit Lambics Boon Framboise Marriage Parfait, Boon Kriek Mariage Parfait, Cantillon Kriek, Cantillon Lou Pepe Kriek, Cantillon Vigneronne (Muscat grape), De Cam Oude Kriek, Oud Beersel Kriek (USA? went to this brewery when under construction and got nothing out of the visit.), Mort Subite Kriek. Whew!

Drinkology Beer: $14.85 So a guy or a gal walks into a bar and orders a . . . what? A Belgian lambic? A German Hefeweizen? An American barley wine? Today, with thousands of beers being made in the U.S. and many, many imported ales and lagers available at taverns and retailers, the once-simple decision to have a beer may feel a little like drowning. Drinkology Beer to the rescue. James Waller’s new book is written especially for beer lovers who have no idea what “sparge” or “IBU” might mean. After covering the basics of brewing, Waller provides an informative, witty, and accessible compendium of the globe’s beer styles, ranging from Abbey Ale to Zwickel. With special features including a roundup of “beer culture” (such as beer songs and movies about beer), notes on touring breweries, and a selection of beer-cocktail recipes and food dishes you can make with beer, Drinkology Beer is a beer book completely unlike any other. |

Beer in Scotland $71.7 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Beer has been produced in Scotland for approximately 5,000 years. The Celtic tradition of using bittering herbs remained in Scotland longer than the rest of Europe. The two main cities of Scotland, Glasgow and Edinburgh, are where, historically, the main breweries developed; and Edinburgh, in particular, became a noted centre for the export of beer around the world. By the end of the 20th century, small breweries had sprung up all over Scotland. Despite a widespread belief that beers in Scotland used fewer hops than in England, all the available evidence shows that the Scots imported hops from around the world and used them extensively. Brewing in Scotland goes back 5,000 years; archaeologist Merryn Dineley has suggested that ale could have been made from barley at Skara Brae and at other sites dated to the Neolithic. The ale would have been flavoured with meadowsweet in the manner of a Kvass or Gruit made by various North European tribes including the Celts and the Picts.
